How to get your hands on REAL Ed Sheeran tickets at face value

Fans who missed out on Ed Sheeran tickets could be in with a second shot now that he’s cancelled 10,000 of those purchased by touts.

Chaos ensued when furious followers were unable to get their mitts on tickets for his 2018 tour, only for them to pop up later online priced at between £1,000 and a ridiculous £174,000.

Now, like the legend that he is, the singer has shut down the touts by cancelling their tickets and putting them back on sale for genuine fans.

The only way you can get them is through his resale site, Twickets, where they will be sold at their original face value of between £49 and £88.

And to make sure that they don’t fall into the hands of touts again, ticket holders for any of his seven gigs will have to present four forms of ID at the venue.

Ed’s spokesman told Mirror Online, “Most profiteering companies heeded promoters’ warnings not to trade and resell tickets that would instantly be cancelled.

“This resulted in 90 per cent of tickets being delivered into fans’ hands at the face value.

“The process of analysing sales and cancelling tickets purchased for purposes for resale will continue until the tour takes place.”

It’s not the first time touts have ruined things for Ed’s fans.

In February, reselling site Viagogo came under fire for selling tickets to his charity gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust for £5,000.

Meanwhile, fans have been warned that they could face being turned away at the door if they don’t bring the correct ID.

To gain entry, concert-goers will need to present their tickets, booking confirmation, credit card, and a valid form of ID.

Ed will perform in Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Cardiff in May and June 2018.
