“That’s not Marcel in bed with Gabby!” Love Island viewers confused after ‘spotting impostor’
Love Island viewers were left scratching their heads last night after believing they spotted a strange man in bed with Gabby – but there’s a simple explanation.
At the beginning of the episode, most of the couples were getting amorous while Gabby had her back turned to boyfriend Marcel.
While some were feeling sorry for Marcel for not getting any action, others thought their lack of affection for one another could be explained… because it wasn’t Marcel in the bed.
Screenshots of the couple quickly began going viral on social media with people claiming that it’s “not Marcel in bed with Gabby!”
They were demanding to know who the long-haired impostor was – and even Gaz from Geordie Shore got involved.
Even Gaz from Geordie Shore tweeted about it, sharing two screengrabs of the couple’s bed along with the caption: “Who the f***inghell is this guy”
People are still confused this morning
But there’s a very simple explanation and it’s all to do with Marcel’s tattoo.
The night vision cameras made his tattoo stand out more and, thanks to the position with his arm above his head, it just happened to look like tousled hair sticking up.
One viewer shared two images showing Marcel moving slightly and, when his arm is down by his side, you can definitely see that it’s him.
