Rare pics of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid at Wang show

  • While Alexander Wang is known for throwing epic post-show bashes, last season the American designer didn’t have one
  • On the heels of his spring/summer 2018 show, footage has emerged of Kendall and Bella having their own after party backstage
  • The top models were taking out the trash, blowing kissy faces and posing for selfies with an unidentified phone, all in Wang

One of the most anticipated events during New York Fashion Week is the Alexander Wang post-fashion show party. The American designer is notorious for throwing over-the-top unorthodox bashes with an A-list guest list.

In 2016 he parked a McDonald’s food truck and pop-up 7-Eleven inside Pier 94, serving all day breakfast and Slurpees, to the likes of Madonna and Kylie Jenner. This weekend, immediately following the debut of his spring 2018 collection on Saturday night, guests entered #Wangfest, a transformative pop-up mini festival with performances by top musical acts including Ja Rule and Ashanti.

Last season, however, invitations to his show had the strong statement of ‘No After Party’ and models came down the runway wearing the slogan printed across T-shirts, jeans shorts, and tights. But just because an official blowout wasn’t organized, that doesn’t mean post-show fun wasn’t had. Never-before-seen footage just emerged of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid’s backstage shenanigans.

Images show the top models taking out the trash, making kissy faces at the camera and taking selfies.

Still in the show’s nocturnal beauty look made up of piecey lived-in hair and heavy eye-liner, Kendall and Bella are wearing all black cleavage-baring garments and bulky silver chain jewelry by the designer – as one would while taking out the trash!

As Kendall says ‘Hi whoever’s phone this is, I have no idea whose phone this is,’ Bella sticks out her tongue, fixes her bed-head hair and sashays as if she’s walking the catwalk before air-kissing the camera.

But it’s not all about vanity, the girls are seen cleaning up backstage by lifting big black trash bags into a dumpster bin. Putting her whole body into it, Bella bends her knees and tosses a bag over her head.

The footage ends with the beauties rolling the dumpster away with mischievous grins. Seems there was an after party, we just weren’t invited.

Finders keepers: Kendall and Bella took selfies and videos with someone else's phone. 'Hi whoever's phone this is, I have no idea whose phone this is,' said Kendall

Spring/Summer 2018

Alexander Wang took his spring/summer 2018 show to the streets of New York. With models transported on a party bus, the public presentation started at the brand’s home-base in Tribeca, before making it’s way to Petrosino Square and Astor Place, with a finale in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Hundreds of fashion insiders stood behind metal barriers on the corner of Scott and Randolph to witness the unconventional event, lead by Cindy Crawford’s 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber, wearing a white mini dress with stud embellishment.

Following Kaia were other ‘it’ girls, including Suki Waterhouse, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Candice Swanepoel, in an array of downtown cool separates mixed and matched in ways that street style stars are sure to start trying.

By playing with different fabrics and textures, Alex put his own spin on traditional pieces like trench coats and deconstructed button-downs.

His two-tone trench coat was gathered and belted at the waist and paired with skinny jeans covered in silver studs.

Unlike the deconstructed blouses that have become so popular in the last couple of seasons, Alex’s versions came spliced with black sports bras.

The juxtaposition of colors, shapes, fabrics and moods made this collection exciting.

Breathing new life into masculine-inspired fashions, leather corsets were styled over delicate white lace dresses and paired with army green separates. Denim cutoff shorts worn over leather pants had us rethinking how to transition the summer staple.

One of the strongest mashups was a ladylike tweed blazer accented by silver chain styled with shredded baggy denim. This elegant meets edgy look has us itching to be a part of Alexander’s cool girl gang.

Known for throwing the best post-show bashes, Alex’s collection wouldn’t be complete without a few party accessories.

The show’s last couple of looks were worn by fan favorites Kendall and Bella. The girl’s strutted their stuff in LBD’s accessorized with feathered headbands that said ‘wangover’ and ‘party animal.’ Cue party performers Cardi B, Vince Staples, A$AP Ferg, Ja Rule and Ashanti because #Wangfest is about to get started.
