Steven Vander Briel is due in General District Court in Fredericksburg on Tuesday. He is charged with first-degree murder and abduction in the death Friday of Grace Rebecca Mann, a 20-year-old from northern Virginia.

Fredericksburg city police tell The Free Lance-Star they still are attempting to determine a motive for Mann's slaying. The cause of death also hasn't been released.

Mann shared a house with Briel and two other roommates. The two other roommates found Mann, who died at Mary Washington Hospital.

Briel was apprehended two hours after Mann was found slain.

Mann's funeral is also scheduled Tuesday in Falls Church.
